I’m a business owner, mentor and founder of Pink Gorilla Media, and I’m passionate about helping creative businesses get seen, get confident and get more sales.
But I didn’t start here.
Like so many small business owners, I started with an idea and absolutely no roadmap.
I began upcycling furniture from my dining room table, turning forgotten pieces into something people loved. That small creative outlet grew into Muck N Brass, a nationally recognised brand that led me into wallpaper and fabric design, licensing products, exhibiting at trade shows across the UK, appearing on television and mentoring on BBC’s Make It at Market, Discovery Channel's The Weekend Workshop and CBeebie's Junk Rescue to name a few.
It looked like an overnight success.
It wasn’t.
It was years of making mistakes, trying new ideas, changing direction, learning what worked and, more importantly, what didn’t.
I’ve experienced the excitement of launching products, the pressure of paying the bills, the fear of putting yourself out there and the challenge of starting again.
In fact, at 51, that’s exactly what I chose to do.
Not because I’d failed.
Because I wanted to build something that felt more like me.
That’s how Pink Gorilla Media was born.
Today, I help artists, makers, designers, coaches and small business owners cut through the overwhelm and build businesses that work for them.
Whether it’s through a Social Media Audit, The Clarity Hour, one-to-one mentoring or The Pink Gorilla Collective (which I co-founded with Steph), everything I offer is rooted in real experience.
I don’t believe in chasing algorithms.
I don’t believe you need to post three times a day to be successful.
And I definitely don’t believe there’s one formula that works for everyone.
What I do believe is that every business has a story worth telling.
Sometimes you just need someone to help you find it.
People often tell me that my superpower is seeing things they can’t. I love untangling ideas, spotting opportunities and helping people find clarity when everything feels chaotic. It’s why I do what I do.
When I’m not working with clients, I’m dreaming up my next project. Right now, that’s The Wellness Tavern, a space built around creativity, connection and the belief that it’s never too late to start again.
Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:
You don’t have to have everything figured out.
You just have to be willing to take the next step.
